The Asthma Workshop Series is an initiative of Asthma Foundation Queensland and New South Wales, funded by Queensland Health.
This set of six online modules, aligned with a typical patient asthma education checklist, will guide health professionals through a range of asthma management topics to assist in the provision of patient asthma education.
The course has been updated to reflect the current evidence base within the Australian Asthma Handbook (v1.2 October 2016) and contemporary online learning methods and interactions.
Completing all six modules will take approximately two hours. Users can however, progress through each module at their own pace and stop and start as needed.
Each module includes audio elements, references and downloadable resources, plus interactive learning tasks.
Progress is recorded and once all modules have been undertaken successfully, participants are emailed a certificate of completion for their professional records.
Who should do this course?
Health care professionals involved in the care and education of people with asthma, including general practitioners, practice nurses, hospital nurses, health workers, pharmacists, community and allied health staff.
