- Thunderstorm Asthma
In November 2016, the greater Melbourne area was impacted by a Thunderstorm asthma event. Never before had hospitals, Ambulance Victoria or Emergency Services Telecommunications Authority experienced such a surge in demand in such a short period of time and with such a rapid onset over a large geographical area.
This course will provide you with up-to-date information on asthma, thunderstorm asthma and its management.
Most importantly, you will be trained in the national protocol for the first aid treatment of an asthma attack.
Expected time to complete course: Approximately one hour
Cost: Currently FREE – supported by funding from the Victorian Department of Health and Human Services
Currency: Valid for three years
Recognition: Certificate of completion
